11 main points of the lock battery lifetime issue
When is the best time to change the batteries for the locks? Please follow the below steps to get a much better understanding of the lock power supply.
- When the battery power is low, every time the door is red, the buzzer will flash.
- Using the wrong type of battery will cause an explosion.
- Use only carbon-zinc or alkaline-manganese dioxide batteries. Use branded batteries.
- Dispose of used batteries in accordance with local environmental protection laws.
- If handled improperly, the battery may explode. Do not recharge, disassemble, or throw the battery into a fire.
- Be sure to operate the battery according to the instructions.
- Install the positive or negative terminal of the battery in the direction shown by the lock symbol.
- Keep the battery away from children and pets.
- If the lock is not used for a long period of time, remove the battery.
- Old and new batteries cannot be mixed.
- If the skin or clothing gets stained with the battery-leaking solution, rinse immediately with water. If the eyes touch the lye, immediately rinse with water, and then seek medical attention.
What will happen when the lock power runs out?
For all of our smart locks, when the batteries of the lock are drained, the lock will lock automatically if the user forgets to replace the batteries, effectively protecting the user’s belongings and property.
In addition, every one of our smart locks has an external power port. Even if the battery is drained and the lock is locked, it can still get an emergency power supply through the external power port. This allows the user to open the lock and replace the battery with a new one.
